WHAT'S ON SITE
Everything you need for a great weekend is right here at Harts Range. From camping areas and amenities to food, drinks, merchandise and tote facilities, the grounds are set up to keep you comfortable while you enjoy the racing and bush sports. Whether you’re here for the day or staying the whole weekend, you’ll find everything you need to relax, catch up with mates and make the most of the Harts Range experience.
CAMPING
Camping is available throughout the grounds. All camping is unpowered and unreserved. Sites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Campers must not camp inside sheds or other privately owned areas.
Toilets, long-drop toilets and shower facilities are available around the grounds. However, this is a remote bush camping experience, so please arrive prepared and bring everything you will need for the weekend.
What to bring
Pack your swag, tent or caravan supplies, food, drinking water, camp oven or barbecue, firewood, personal sunscreen and insect repellent. There are no powered sites, so campers should also bring their own lighting, batteries or an alternative power source if required.
Please be considerate of other campers who have come to enjoy the peace and serenity of Harts Range. If using a generator, keep operating hours reasonable and avoid running it continuously, particularly overnight.
Campfires and barbecues
Barbecues and controlled campfires are permitted within the designated camping areas, subject to local fire conditions and any restrictions in place at the time. Fires must always be supervised and fully extinguished when your campsite is unattended.
Camping rules
Fireworks are not permitted. Dogs must remain on a lead at all times. Please use the rubbish bags provided and take your rubbish with you or place in on of our many rubbish drums when departing. Be considerate of neighbouring campers and keep noise and music at a reasonable level. Alcohol must not be taken into the nearby Atitjere community.
Please note: Camping areas are general-access areas and cannot be reserved in advance. Follow the directions of event officials when selecting your campsite and keep roads, emergency access routes and public facilities clear.
CANTEEN
The Harts Range Canteen is where the real action happens — serving up good tucker and cold drinks all weekend long. Whether you’re chasing a hot brekkie, a proper burger or a steak sandwich that hits the spot, you won’t go hungry here.
Led by Canteen Manager and Committee Member Andrew Barrett, alongside his parents Max and Jenny and a huge team of volunteers, you can expect generous feeds, friendly faces and true Territory hospitality.
